How can a good God allow suffering?

Turn on the news and watch for 15 minutes… what do you see? Car crash on the freeway, war in this country and this government leader doing this and that and an earthquake in this country with the occasional “rescued the cat out of the tree” local hero story at the end. Accidentally cut someone off in traffic and see how they respond. Scroll through you’re social media feed (if you can escape the algorithm) and you’ll find a world of pain, criticism, hurtful comments and suffering of people around the world.

Why is this? And how could any of this be the case while christians claim that the God of the universe is everything good?
